The Role

The Vendor Manager role will be focused on building and maintaining Doorstead's third-party vendor network. We’re looking for a candidate with construction or maintenance experience, experience hiring and managing vendors and contractors, strong organizational and management skills, process-oriented thinking, and a desire to join a fast-paced high-growth startup.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Finding and hiring third-party maintenance or construction vendors
  • Creating and negotiating contracts with new and existing vendors
  • Creating training and onboarding materials for new vendors
  • Cultivating relationships with existing vendors
  • Managing a team of assistants to help you execute your responsibilities
  • Organizing vendors into a system, so that our Homes Team can easily determine which vendors to use


    • Minimum of 1-3 years of construction experience
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of management experience
    • Quick learner with ability to adapt and take initiative in a high-level in a fast-paced constantly changing environment
    • Impeccable organization, attention to detail, and ability to handle high volume and manage your own time
    • Comfortable using online platforms such as Zendesk and Salesforce
    • Ability to think critically about how our team can continually improve scalable processes
    • Positive attitude, delivers on commitments, and enjoys working with a close-knit team
